Welll, no news today :( We were so hoping for a peek during the ultrasound but we didn't even need an ultrasound. The doctor has a handheld Doppler he uses to hear the heartbeat, and he was able to find both heartbeats. They sounded great and so we did not need an ultrasound. But all is well and that is the most important thing! I go back in two weeks to have some testing done, to check for gestational diabetes, down syndrome, spina bifida, etc. I will also be going in 3 1/2 weeks to the Perinatologist - a high risk obstetrician. This is mandatory for multiples and he will check for defects and we will also be able to find out the sexes then. They have very detailed ultrasound machines. I know it's so close but it still seems so far away! I guess part of the fun is the anticipation!
On another note, we have made headway in the nursery! Grandpappy Steve was so nice to come over and help Jason with priming the room - from ceiling to floor. The fumes were overwhelming so I couldn't be in there too long. We will be adding color to the walls this weekend. We also purchased our cribs this week. We really wanted some nice, high quality cribs and we were able to find two matching on Craigslist! We will have this nursery done in no time! I really want to be able to relax the last month or so, so we are on a mission!
